Must Have Drinks for Thanksgiving Celebrations

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, most people are busy preparing to host a houseful of guests and finalizing their menu of dishes and drinks. To get  in the spirit here are a few Thanksgiving drink options that are sure to satisfy any guest (21+ of course) at this year’s gathering. From fall-flavored cocktails to spirit brands perfect for autumn, below you will find a variety of drink options that are excellent additions to any holiday meal.

If you enjoy washing down your turkey and cranberry sauce with cocktails:

Kentucky Autumn

  • 1.25 oz. Bulleit Bourbon
  • 0.5 oz. ginger liqueur
  • 1.5 oz. pomegranate juice
  • 0.5 oz. lemon juice
  • 0.4 oz. maple syrup
  • 1 dash powdered cinnamon
  • 3 dashes baked apple bitters or orange bitters
  • Apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish

Method

  1. Shake all ingredients vigorously for 10 seconds over ice.
  2. Strain over fresh ice into large rocks glass.
  3. Garnish with apple slices and cinnamon sticks.

Tennessee Cider

Ingredients

  • 1.3 oz. George Dickel No. 12
  • 2 oz. Apple Cider
  • 0.5 oz. Grade B Maple Syrup
  • 3 dashes Angostura Bitters

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients.
  2. Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick.
