Shaving creams are all the same right? Wrong.

They vary in scents, and most importantly ingredients. Finding the best one is the difference between getting a nasty ingrown hair or a flawless, smooth shave. However, quality doesn’t always have to mean expensive. To help, we have developed a list of The Best Shaving Creams that won’t leave hole in your pocket.

Lab Series Maximum Comfort Shave Cream – $25

Lab has a history of making quality products, and this is no exception. Suitable for all skin types, the creamy formula softens and prepares your skin for a close shave. The texture is rich and feels soothing on even the most irritated skin. Lab offers a unique, patented, formula that helps prevent cuts and ingrown hairs.

Anthony Logistics Shave Cream – $30

Packed with Vitamins A, C and E, this cream from Anthony Logistics is a solid choice for men who have hair that gets a bit rough. Using a combination of soothing Aloe Vera gel and Squalene (a wheat germ derived ingredient), it helps nourish the skin from within and also helps lubricate the epidermis to prevent razor burns and cuts. This is a great choice for those with thick and coarse hair.

Dermalogica Soothing Shave Cream – $22

If you want a product that moisturizes and preps your skin for your daily shave, this is it. The Jojoba seed oil and Shea butter locks moisture in the skin whilst Comfrey leaf extract reliefs the skin of any irritation shaving may cause. The elderberry scent is masculine and features a subtle tart and fruit undertone. Dermalogica is highly recommended.

The Body Shop For Men Maca Root Shave Cream – $16

For men who want a no-fuss product, The Body Shop does it just right. Brazil nut oil prevents the skin from drying out whilst the coconut oil gives it a great slick texture. This product uses ingredients sourced ethically from Community Trade – so you know that when you’re having your morning shave, your money is going into the right hands.

Geo F Trumper Shave Cream – $27

With a sandalwood aroma and a luxurious lather, Geo F. Trumper leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft. The best part is that you don’t need to use much product to get a great result. As they say, a little goes a long way.

Sorry guys but you missed the absolute best shaving cream in the world: Al’s Shaving Cream (alsshaving.com). No other cream comes close in lather quality.and volume. I traded years of irritation for the closest shaves once I started using it. I love all the scents, they are natural. More importantly, they are made in the USA. Try this one and you will love it too.
