Rob Kardashian is best known for Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s and Khloé & Lamar, but you might not know that this is where the connection between stress and hair loss became apparent for this established star. Thrust into the media spotlight at an early age, Rob is no stranger to the circus of events that unfold in his daily life, but when paparazzi started picking on his thinning hair, emasculating him on a deeply personal level away from the shows prying eye, he knew he had to do something about it. Rather than shy away from the negative media attention, Rob gained our respect by coming forward as the spokesman for Viviscal Man, talking candidly about one of the biggest taboo topics in male grooming to date; men’s hair loss, with a solution to boot!

Rob Kardashian on Men’s Hair Loss

Men’s hair loss is a natural sign of aging, but it’s rarely spoken about. Why do you think that is?

Obviously, men are less willing to speak about how they feel, but if you hide behind the things you don’t want to talk about then you’re going to feel insecure in all aspects of your life. As a confident man, I feel talking about hair loss is acceptable.

Do you think stress is accountable in some way for hair loss, or is it just a part of getting older?

Stress is accountable. I have noticed at times even my facial hair can become patchy due to stress. At the end of the day, it’s all about what you put out into the universe that comes back to you, your health, and even your hair.

How do you balance everything you have going on?

I’m trying to make everything fall into one. That means making healthy lifestyle choices that include eating right, to my hair care solutions. For the most part, staying healthy and focusing on things that are important to me helps keep me balanced.

When did you begin to notice your hair was thinning?

My family has thinner hair than most. My dad and grandpa had a full head of hair until they passed away, but again, it was thin. Viviscal, for me, thickens what I have. It’s important to protect what I have for the future.

What Viviscal products do you use?

I use all of the Viviscal Hair Growth program products including the shampoo and conditioner. I also take Viviscal Man supplements twice a day.

Were you skeptical of taking a dietary supplement to help with hair?

I was skeptical. Hair loss, as we said, is embarrassing to talk about. It’s also something I discovered other dudes were taking products for. Those products can affect your sex drive, and is something of course I didn’t want to get into. Then I found out through my best friend that Viviscal is 100% drug free, so that was an obvious choice for me.

How quickly did you begin to notice changes?

I cut my hair short on top, so right now, I definitely see it’s thicker. I don’t feel insecure at all. I normally wear hats all the time. I haven’t been wearing hats for the last month or so, so that’s a sure sign.

What advice do you have for other guys that are experiencing hair loss?

Don’t be ashamed, research the options out there. I found a brilliant way to combat hair loss with Viviscal. I encourage everyone else to at least try it. It doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t affect your sex life. If anything, it gives you more confidence.

The Male Grooming Round

Are you an electric razor guy or a traditional shaver?

I am a straight razor guy, barber-style.

Can a guy ever groom too much?

It’s whatever you’re comfortable with. At the end of the day, I’m confident as I am. Nobody can tell you what to do, what’s right, or what’s wrong.

What does you grooming routine look like in the morning?

I always start the day off with an early morning run followed by a long shower, brushing my teeth, and washing my face. Then I get my breakfast and the day going. Later on at night, I hit the gym. One thing I my mom taught me is to smell good. She’s a smart woman.

What’s your Male Standard?

I don’t have a motto, as much as an action that I feel I have to do every day to be on top of my A-Game. For me, that’s going on a 5-mile run. Back in college, I used to run track with the dudes. Now it’s about sticking to a good time in my life and recreating that feeling of accomplishment each day.

You’re an inspiration Rob, thanks for hanging out!
